Anja Schaefer wins Buckingham East with historic 21% swing from Tory to Lib Dem.

Six weeks of intensive campaigning brought us a huge victory on a stormy November Thursday in Buckingham East.

The full result was:

Anja Schaefer - Liberal Democrat - 690

Jane Mordue - Conservative - 593

Fran Davies - Labour - 371

Michael Culverhouse - Green - 81

A massive thanks to all the volunteers. As well as the Buckingham team we had help from South Bucks, Aylesbury, Milton Keynes and Oxfordshire.

This result sends a strong message to the Conservatives: No seat in Bucks is safe! It also signals to Labour and the Greens that we are the clear challengers to the Tories in future Council and Parliamentary elections in Bucks.
