2026 AGM to be held in Wendover.

I’m delighted to announce that on Saturday 14^th November at 11am, the Mid- and North Buckinghamshire Liberal Democrats will be hosting our Annual General Meeting.  This will be held in person at Wendover Memorial Hall, Wharf Road, Wendover, Bucks HP22 6AF.  For those not able to attend in person, you can attend online by Zoom link, which will be circulated closer to the meeting.

Since last year’s AGM, we have made a good start to our parliamentary campaign. Earlier this year, I was honoured to be reselected as parliamentary candidate for Mid Buckinghamshire. Since then, we have delivered two leaflets to nearly the entire constituency, with a third one planned for November. We are now working on our campaign plan for the rest of the year, including a series of action days and social events.

As Liberal Democrats we are, importantly, the voice of opposition to the increasingly dangerous, divisive, populist messages peddled by the likes of Nigel Farage, a Conservative party moving further to the right and Restore. Locally, we believe there is the very real possibility of winning the Mid Buckinghamshire parliamentary constituency at the next general election. To do this, we need to build as large and effective a team as we can. We are, therefore, looking for members who could provide some time in support, including fresh members of the executive team. We’re also opening nominations for some key posts that help run our local party – and for which any elections required would take place at the AGM.  I’d encourage you to have a chat with any member of the current exec team about any role in which you might be interested.  Also, we’re really keen to involve members currently underrepresented in our local party team – being members who are younger or from diverse backgrounds.  The time commitment required need not be onerous!

To help establish our winning team for the next general election, we will follow the formal parts of the AGM with a more informal opportunity to network.  From around 12.30pm we’ll discuss key elements of national policy and how they relate to local priorities.  It would be great if you would be able to join us.
